My Carter Baby

When Carter was 6 months old, the doctor was a bit concerned that he was losing weight.  He got a wee bit scrawny for a few months.  He ate all the time, and never seemed overly fussy.  I wasn't sure what to think.  We decided to just watch him to see what his little body would do before we did any testing.  Needless to say, my little chunker is just fine.

6 month measurements:

Height: 29 3/8"---95%
Weight: 19 lbs 5 oz---60%
Head: 17 1/8---30%

A few months later……

Height: 31 1/2"---55%
Weight: 26 lbs 1 oz---90%
Head: 18 3/8---50%

Baby Boy Nephew!

On July 15, 2015 our new nephew was born!  Happiness for babies!  I love brand new babies.  They just have such a special spirit with them, and possess a sweet glow.  There is nothing better than holding a tiny infant that is only hours old.

I got to hang out in the waiting room with Isaac while his mommy had his baby brother.

Caleb was a cute baby.  He wasn't squished or anything.  Just sweet as he could be.

Water Parks

When you are in the Rounds family, instead of going to the water park, you rent out the entire water park.  What a grand idea!  Do you know how nice it is to be at a water park with only family members?  It is the ideal way to attend the water park.  We celebrated Korbin and Kyla's birthdays at the park, and it was a blast!

4th Of July

We began our day of celebration with a parade in Riverdale.  The kids now know what to do at a parade, so we got a pretty nice loot.  We went with Steven, Alyssa, and their kids.

Carter and Daxton did not like the firetrucks.  Apparently when they are up close they can be terrifying.  Who knew?

Later in the day we went down to the ballpark to see the Raptors play.  Daxton is really into sports right now, so this was right up his alley.  The wind started blowing, so we left before the game was over.  An hour at a ballpark with three kids under the age of 5 is plenty!

Devin noticed a fowl ball was hit into a parking lot, so on our way out we took Dax out to find his very own baseball.  He was pleased.

Really pleased.

When we got home we decided to light up some sparklers for the kids and watched some fireworks from the driveway.  They were a hit.

Horsies!

My cousin got hitched this summer, and at her reception she had some horses pulling a buggy.  The second the kids saw it I knew we had to take a ride.  I grabbed a few of my little cousins, my kids, and Grandma Sylvia to help with crowd control, and off we went.

Daxton was just a wee bit excited.

Carter wasn't too sure about the horses.

What a great idea for a reception!

Tree House Museum

We take the kids to the Tree House on a regular basis.  They always have so much fun, and I enjoy watching them play creatively using imagination.

This was the newest addition this summer.  The kids ADORED this diner.  I sat inside at a table for many, many minutes while they took my order and brought me food.  Well done, Tree House.  Well done.

One day they had a small petting zoo out front, and the kids got to see this enormous desert tortoise.

Swing Set

I saved for over two years to be able to buy my kids a fancy swing set.  I saved the money two or three times, but I was forced to spent my earnings on unexpected life events (you know, broken femurs and what not).  After a few gigantic boxes sat in my carport for a few months, we set out to set the bad boy up.  Luckily Papa Dirt and Uncle Colton came over to assist us.  We were terribly sweet and picked out the hottest day of the year-- not even kidding--to have them come help.  Let's just say we were a bit sweaty and gross by the time we finished that evening.

Men hard at work.
