The Train

The night before Christmas Eve I took the kids on the Frontrunner train down to see the lights at Temple Square.  Devin was already working in Salt Lake, so we met him down there.  We were able to go with Grandma and Grandpa Rounds, and Ryan's family.

Daxton was in love with the train.  He talks about trains all the time.  He was pretty excited when we actually got to ride on one.  He looked out the window the entire time.

This baby was so good!  I don't think he made a peep the entire time we were gone.  He is such a dream baby to travel with.
 Still looking out the window...
Three kids and a mom on a train.  I remember the days when I thought traveling with one child was hard.  Now I can manage three by myself, and it doesn't seem like a huge deal.  Funny how that happens.
Yep, his face is still glued to that window.

We stopped by the old ZCMI building to check out the candy windows.  Every year they make some awesome Christmas displays using only candy!  Makayla was in awe.
 They were pretty cool.

We got to the temple just as the lights turned on.  We couldn't have timed it better.  It wasn't super cold yet, it wasn't too dark, and it wasn't crowded.  It turned out perfectly.
Ah, the love of my life.  We really were made for each other.

We went over to City Creek to check out the fountains.  As you can see, Makayla was ready to be inside eating by this point.
Dax thought the fountains were amazing.  They time the fountains to play with Christmas music.  They also had big fireballs blazing in the middle of the fountains.  Neat.
This is basically how he was the entire time.  Good baby.  Gooooood baby.
On our way home.  Makayla loves Kyla.  She constantly refers to her as her "bss".  I think what she means is that Kyla is her "bff" which means they are best friends forever.

We had the best time, and it was the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit.  We may have found a new family tradition!

Growing Babies

My sweet children are always growing.  I don't like it.  At all.  I don't like it at all.  I want to keep them all little babies forever.  However, I am enjoying every stage of life with them.  I am so grateful for these children.  They are the greatest blessing I have been given, and I am proud to be their mommy.
