Summer Fun

Oh, how sweet this summer has been.  I have really been trying to enjoy every minute since Makayla will be off to Kindergarten soon. (Seriously, I don't know if I am going to keep it together when that day comes!)  This summer has been a blast.  We have had a great time playing together.

 Emery, Kit, and Scout.

 Cole (mauling Tara) and Jarrett.

Caden and Makayla.  She says she wants to marry him someday.

Another First Birthday

Why is it that another of my wee babes is a year old?  Already?  I must admit, I hate first birthdays.  What they really mean is that my baby isn't a baby anymore, and I don't like it.

Carter is done with bottles, done with the binky, done with any form of baby food, and basically done snuggling.  He crawls all over the house, and cruises along the furniture.  He is mostly calm and happy, but when he isn't he lets me know it.  No one can make him laugh like his big sister.  He is always excited when Daddy gets home.  His very favorite place on this planet is sitting on my hip.  He is the cutest little stink on the planet, and the last year with him has been an absolute treasure.  I just love him.  A lot.  Happy birthday, sweet Carter Beez!

That face.  Oh, that face melts me.

We went to the Dinosaur Park to celebrate, and it was a hot one!  Sheesh.  I think our guests may have melted and were secretly cursing me for having summer babies.  Oopsie!

Jurassic World

Devin and I don't go to movies often.  Something about having three kids age four and under makes it difficult.  However, since Alyssa won tickets to the premiere of Jurassic World and couldn't go, we got the honors of seeing it opening night.  With drinks.  And popcorn. And I won a gift card.  Lovely!

What made it even better?  My dear friend, Whitney also won tickets.
We got to enjoy a nice double-date and it was splendid.

Watch out for those dinosaurs.

 Love this man.

Class of 2015

This little nugget graduated!  Ah, it is hard to believe he was in the 5th Grade when I married his brother.  He is into politics, reading, debate, and the Stock Market.  He is different from Devin in many ways, and similar in others.  He had grown up really fast, and we can't wait to see what is next for him!

Of course we had to celebrate at Zuppa's.  Who doesn't like a good Zuppa's?

Little Boys

The other day I was getting the kids out of the tub when I told them I was going to run out and water the garden while they got pajamas on.  Daxton wanted to come with me so I told him he could after he had something on.  I headed out the door and into the back to water the garden, and the moment I turned on the hose I could tell the kids were in the back with me already.  The second my eyes caught a glimpse on this second-born child I erupted into laughter.  He had pulled his pajama shirt around his bum and called it good.  I couldn't be mad.  After all, he did put something on, right?
