Megan and Nathaniel's Wedding

December 28 (don't get me started on picking that day to get married...) Megan and Nathaniel got married.  Since I own a wedding decorating business, Megan took full advantage and put me to work.  It all turned out so well.  The reception was lovely and I think people had a good time.

Dev and I had to be to the Draper Temple by 8:30 that morning, and the weather was TERRIBLE.  We set up for the reception after the ceremony then spent the evening eating and mingling. Luckily everything came together and we were safe in our travels.

 Refreshment bar.
For the receiving line.  I love that arch.
Megan chose to do every other chair white, and every other black.  I LOVED it.  I am so glad she alternated sashes and covers.  It was so cute.

Nathaniel's cute little grandma made the cake.  I really liked it.
Uncle Colton hung out with Daxton the entire time I was cleaning up.  Colton has the magic touch, because Daxton was just as happy as could be.
 Yum.

 The happy couple.
Makayla was wasted by the end of the night (can you tell??)  She kept saying Megan was like a princess, and she thought her dress was pretty and sparkly.

 Dancing.
 Auntie Megan and Uncle Nathaniel.

The two men in my life.  Aren't they handsome?
Can you tell she was worn out?  Poor thing.  It was a long day.
 Me with the lovely bride.
 Megan with her proud momma.
We got bored by the end of the evening and started taking random pictures.

Welcome to the family, Uncle Nefanel!

Christmas

Christmas morning was so much fun this year.  Makayla was so excited to see what Santa brought.  Santa and his "elves" must have worked hard in the workshop to make Makayla her own kitchen.  Santa was proud of how it turned out ;)

It took her a minute to see the kitchen because it was across the room from the tree, but once her eyes locked on it she was thrilled!
We had a hard time getting her to look at anything else.  (Point for Santa!)

Once we got her to realize that Santa had left a stocking and some goodies, she managed to tear herself away from the kitchen for a few minutes.
Daxton got a nice little loot from Santa as well.  Although, Makayla thinks those toys were for her, too.
Makayla asked for a cup and a kitchen for months.  There it is folks.  Her very own cup. (A cup????)
Cute Daxton boy in his little Santa suit.

A dolly!  Happiness for more dolls.  This girl wants to be a mommy.

 Present approved.
Grandma Sylvia stopped by for a few minutes to see what Santa brought to our house.

Mommy and Daddy got Makayla a 4 wheeler!  (She is not normally this spoiled.  It was 39 bucks.  I couldn't help it....)

She can't wait for it to get warm so she can ride it out in the yard.

Our first stop was to the Rounds house for breakfast and gifts.  The Rounds house is a little crazy since there are now 10 grandkids and one more on the way.

Santa still brings stockings to the Rounds house, muah ha ha!
 Candy overload!
Even Daxton got in on the action.
Super Grandma gave Makayla and Dax some books.  We love books at our house.
Mmmmm....breakfast casserole!  I wait all year to eat it on Christmas morning.

Now that is what I call a stocking!
Daxton was in love with his cousin, Leah.  She was getting the cutest giggles out of him.
 Daddy and Bubbas!

The grandkids were all over Grandma.  Gotta love Grandma's house.
Handsome little fella.

We also made a stop at the Hubbard home.  I need to collect more pictures.  I am a dork and left my camera at the Rounds household.  I am a bit forgetful.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
